Shownotes:

1) Update from Troy and Will: Due to the special nature of today’s episode we only shared a quick update with the guys, Join us next week to catch up with the guys completely.

2) Comic Book News: Again with this being a super special episode, we only shared bullet points of the Comic Book News in the show. Here is a complete list of the news:

Comic Book News:
Press Release from Tokyopop: For nearly 15 years, TOKYOPOP, led by Stu Levy, its founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer, has pioneered the English-language manga movement and touched the hearts, minds and souls of enthusiasts worldwide.
we are sad to inform our loyal community of manga fans, our passionate creators of manga content, our business and retail partners, and other stakeholders who have supported us through the years that as of May 31, 2011, TOKYOPOP is closing its Los Angeles-based North American publishing operations.
TOKYOPOP film and television projects and European operations, including the German publishing program, will not be affected by the Los Angeles office closure. In addition, TOKYOPOP will continue its global rights sales via its office in Hamburg, Germany.

Fear Itself #1 and Fear Itself: Book of Skull #1 have sold out at diamond and will back on the shelves with 2nd printings in May.

The DC Comics Presents: Legion Of Superheroes: Legion Of The Damned 100 Page Spectacular #1 reprinting previously unreprinted Legion comics had been recalled by DC Comics after chapters had been printed in the incorrect order. Retailers were asked to destroy them, to be replaced by new correctly printed copies in a couple of weeks. Some, however, put theirs for sale on eBay below the $7.99 cover price for $6.99. Some even less. Then one managed to get $9.99 for it. Then $30. Right now all those lower priced copies have been mopped up. There are a bunch of Buy It Nows listings at around $30.

Media News:
The Hollywood Reporter says that Michael Clarke Duncan is to voice green lantern corps trainer Kilowog in this summer’s Green Lantern film. Though the movie’s out in just more than two months — June 17 — it’s still  in post-production. On March 30, Geoffrey Rush was announced as the voice of Tomar Re; footage of the character voiced by Rush was shown two days later at WonderCon in San Francisco.

Nestor Carbonell has been confirmed as continuing his role of Mayor of Gotham City in the Dark Knight Rises.  Nestor Carbonell played Richard Alpert on Lost. (Make sure the listen to  to this part of the podcast. I will forever laugh when I hear Nester Carbonell’s’s name.)

Ray Park (Darth Maul from Star Wars: The phantom menace) has announced that he will reprise his role of Snake Eyes for the GI Joe sequel, directed by Jon Chu.

  1. The very first Start Trek book I read was Vendetta and I have been a Peter David fan ever since.

My favorite of David’s has always been Imzadi.
